- 1989 - Food Shuttle founder, Ann Klocke, named a Citizen of the Year, Buffalo, NY
- 1991 - Environmental Award - Amherst North Rotary Club "for improving the quality of life in the community"
- 1991 - Golden Rule Award from J.C. Penney
- 1992 - July 30 proclaimed Food Shuttle of WNY Day by the County Executive to commemorate the milestone of having transported 2,000,000 pounds of food since the March 1989 start up
- 1992 - Eleanor Roosevelt Community Service Citation (New York State)
- 1993 - Assistance grant from Share Our Strength in Washington, DC (National)
- 1995 - July 10 to 17 proclaimed Food Shuttle of WNY Week by the Mayor of Buffalo
